Yoga Retreats in Ireland
You are here for one of two reasons.
Either you teach, and you are looking for somewhere to bring your students. Or you want to go on a retreat, and you are working out where.

The rest of this page is about what makes a yoga retreat work in Ireland, and what is here.
The room
A yoga retreat is mostly one room, and the room decides it.
The Roundhouse is circular. There is no top of the room and no back row, which changes how a class behaves more than people expect. Nobody is hiding at the back, because there is no back. Up to 50 in a session.
What happens between practices
Sauna. Cold plunge. Soak baths. In woodland, not down a corridor.
Three meals a day, cooked here, seasonal and local. For most groups this turns out to be the thing they talk about afterwards, which is either a compliment to the kitchen or a comment on how low the bar usually is.
Twenty-two ensuite rooms across cottages, shepherd's huts and guestrooms. Everyone gets a door that closes, which matters more on day four than it does on day one.
Outside the door: Glendalough's two lakes, the Wicklow Way, and forest. The upper lake is a walk, not a drive.
Why Ireland, for a yoga retreat
Ireland does not sell you the sun, so nobody comes here for it and nobody is disappointed. What it has instead is weather that puts people indoors together, landscape that is genuinely quiet, and a location that costs your students a short flight rather than a long one.
It is an hour and ten minutes from London, an overnight from the American east coast, and everyone speaks the language. For a teacher filling a retreat, that last part does more work than it sounds like. The easier the trip, the smaller the ask.
When to run one
May, June and September are the months to ask for first, and they go first. Long evenings, mild days, and the valley is not busy.
The dark months suit a different retreat entirely. Sauna, fire, early nights, restorative practice. If that is your teaching, November to February is available and costs less.
If you are the teacher
You bring the group and the programme. We do the rooms, the food, the fires, the turnaround and the logistics.
What you charge is yours. We take no commission on your tickets.
What a five-night yoga retreat looks like here
Saturday: your students arrive from 3pm, settle into rooms, and you open the circle before dinner.
Sunday to Wednesday: morning practice in the Roundhouse, breakfast after, the middle of the day open, an afternoon session, dinner together.
Thursday: close, then out by 11am.
Seven nights buys a full day out. The upper lake, the Wicklow Way from the gate, or a day away from the valley entirely. Most teachers leave the middle of the day unstructured, and it is usually the part students talk about afterwards.
What your students will remember
Not the timetable. The sauna in the woodland, the cold plunge after it, and the fact that somebody else cooked.
Three meals a day, seasonal and local. A welcome hamper on arrival with our own granola, fruit compote, brown bread and juice. Coffee and tea in every unit.
And the quiet, which is real rather than marketing. Sheep farms on three sides and a river.
Why teachers come back
Eighty-eight reviews on our Retreat Guru profile, and a calendar that fills from returning facilitators before it opens to new ones.
The short version of why: you teach, and we handle everything that is not teaching. Rooms, food, fires, turnaround, logistics, and the guest who needs a chemist at nine on a Tuesday.

Questions teachers ask
How many students can I bring?
Twenty-two ensuite rooms, roughly twelve of them singles and fewer if you twin. However you configure it, you have the whole site. There is no other group here.
What is the practice space actually like?
The Roundhouse is circular and takes up to 50 for a session. No top of the room and no back row, which changes how a class behaves more than people expect. It is yours for the duration, not booked out by the hour.
What is included in the rate?
Accommodation, three chef-cooked meals a day, the Roundhouse for the duration, and the sauna, cold plunges and soak baths. Exclusive use of all six acres. Off-site activities, guided walks and transfers are extra, at cost.
Do you take a percentage of my ticket sales?
No. What you charge your students is yours. We charge for rooms and food, and nothing else.
When is the best time of year to run a yoga retreat here?
May, June and September go first, and for good reason: long evenings, daytime highs around 19 to 20 degrees, and the valley is not busy. November to February suits restorative and yin teaching very well, costs less, and the sauna earns its keep.
How do students get here from the UK or the US?
Dublin Airport is about 60 minutes away. London to Dublin is a 1 hour 10 minute flight. From the US east coast it is a direct overnight, around six hours from Boston. No visa for UK, US or EU passports, and Dublin has US Preclearance so your American students clear US immigration before they fly home rather than queueing at the far end.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and allergies are all handled as a matter of course rather than as an exception. Send us the list when you confirm your numbers.
What does it take to hold a date?
EUR 500 holds it. EUR 4,000 is due four months out, and the balance as your students register. 2026 is committed and 2027 is roughly half held, with mid-week and shoulder months going first.
